Research in our lab is focused on the study of Ras and related GTPases. We are interested in understanding the surface features involved in interactions with other proteins that result in signal propagation within the cell. We use a combination of conventional X-ray crystallography and the Multiple Solvent Crystal Structures (MSCS) method. MSCS uses organic solvents to probe the surfaces of proteins. Analysis of the structures will also involve molecular dynamics simulations and other computational methods. |
