Changing the Required IMAP Security Settings
Return to WolfWise HelpThe WolfWise system requires a change in the security settings of IMAP clients in order for things to work. This settings was optional under the old system but is now required. Many may already have this setting set.
Thunderbird
Under Tools->Account Settings (Mac & Windows)
Edit->Account Settings (Linux)
Click on "Server Settings" at the left under your NCSU account and in
the "Security Settings" section click on "SSL".

Outlook 2003
Under Tools->E-mail Accounts click "Next" to view or change
an
account and select your NCSU account from the list.
Click "Change" and
then "More Settings..." and choose the "Advanced" tab.
Check the box
under "Incoming server (IMAP):" that to the right says "This server
requires a encrypted connection (SSL)"

Outlook 2007
Under Tools->Account Settings select the E-mail tab and the your NCSU account from the list.
Click "Change..." and
then "More Settings..." and choose the "Advanced" tab.
Under "Incoming server (IMAP):" select "SSL" from the dropdown box after "Use the following type of encrypted connection:"

Mac Mail
Under Mail->Preferences click on the "Accounts" tab and click on "Advanced".
On the "Port: " line check the box infront of "Use SSL".

Eudora
Under Tools->Options select on the left "Checking Mail".
In the "Secure Sockets when Receiving" section, select "Required, Alternate Port" from the dropdown.
